LD starts work today!  LD is All or Nothing's firstfruit ie she is our very first nite lady that we talked with in the restaurant! Today, 11 Feb 08, 8am,  she starts work and she is very thrilled! 

 

LD used to get a neat $10k for good months and $6k for bad months.  She presently gets slightly below $1k and she has to fork out $185 for accomodation.

 

I  must confess I have mixed feelings.  On the one hand I am excited that she is embarking on a new journey with the Lord and by God's grace only, yet on the other hand, I am a little concern that she will return to her old lifestyle cos the monies seem so little ... I 'struggle' whenever she says she will come to AON to look for me (cos I am so afraid that the guys who used to pester her will find her) and I keep trying to comfort her by telling her that perhaps God will promote her and she will get a pay rise ...

 

LD on the otherhand is so excited and thrilled.  She is excited cos the Lord is giving her a new start!  She is excited cos she sees favour smiling at her ... She is excited cos she knows she is the Lord's favourite one and He is coming for her this season - so what's happening to me?  Why am I so filled with fear ... Perhaps I dont trust God enough to know that He knows her better than I do... or perhaps I am looking at the circumstances to determind the grace and love of Jesus ... whatever it is, I know that AON's first fruit will be something that when ALL OF US ARE IN HEAVEN, we will all hear the Lord say "Thank You for helping LD find me, thank you for showing LD love.  Thank you that cos of LD, many in Geylang now has hope!" (this is LD's desire that through her, many in Geylang will find Jesus!)

 

So to all of us in Geylang and perhaps not in Geylang but in some ways part of AON, a very big THANK YOU and yea, may today mark a breakthrough season for us!
