Isaiah 53    To see  Jesus Christ  Messiah....and the Olive Tree

 

If I'm looking at Jesus, then I am seeing the Messiah--the Anointed One...by the Oil and by the Spirit--the Gift of God

 

I see Him here on the Mount of Olives....it is covered with olive trees

 

I see Him praying in the Garden of Gethsemane  "olive press"

 

I see Him pressed like the olive --- His bloody sweat pouring out like oil

 

I see Him--a tender plant--a root out of dry spiritual ground.   Without a root  there can be no tree to bring Truth--Living Water--to a dry and thirsty people

 

To the religious His words sound as hard as rocks...but from within come beautiful streams of Life-giving water

 

Some dealt harshly with Him...beating Him as the branches of these olive trees...to drain the very sap and oil for their own satisfaction and pride

 

He was sad that these could not yet understand..but like the root of the olive tree...His Truth will bear fruit for thousands of years

 

He shall see His seed...that by the travail of His soul, many are justified...and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand

 

You cannot kill an olive tree....nor stop the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
